Calling all actors in grades 1 - 12!  Be part of the professional production of The Music Man Jr., featuring an all-youth cast!  Two cast rehearsals will be held on Saturdays and Sundays, beginning January 9, with public and school performances in March at the Decatur Civic Center.  The program is directed and choreographed by Marie Jagger-Taylor.

Enjoy the American classic, The Music Man Jr., as the Decatur Park District's 1st - 12th grade performers bring to life "Seventy-six Trombones," and the "Wells Fargo Wagon," in this award-winning musical.

Saturday, March 27, 4 p.m. & 7 p.m.

Sunday, March 28, 2 p.m.

Ticket sales begin March 1, 2010.  Reserved seats are just $7.00 and may be purchased at the Decatur Park District Office, 620 E. Riverside Dr., by phone (422-5911), or at the door of the Decatur Civic Center theatre one hour before show times.

Looking for a fun student activity that promotes Art in Education?  You won't want to miss the Decatur Park District's The Music Man, Jr.!  This exciting new show, scheduled for Monday, March 29 and Tuesday, March 30, 2009 at the Decatur Civic Center will feature the skills and talents of students aged 7 - 17 from the Decatur Park District's Perform! program.  The show is appropriate for grades K-6 and might be a nice treat for students following ISAT testing in early March!  Tickets are just $5.00 per student (teachers and aides are free!).  Please call Marie Jagger-Taylor at 421-6648 to book a performance for your school!
