Staley Firecracker Road Run/Walk

Celebrate the 4th of July with this annual tradition! All ages are invited to compete in a 4-mile or 8-mile run, or start the holiday off with a 2-mile fun run/walk. The first 250 entrants receive a tank top. A minimum of three awards in each age division will be given to runners. Call 429-3472 to request a race entry form. Registration is from 7:45-8:15 a.m. the day of the race with start time at 8:30 a.m. at Nelson Park Pavilion #2. Participation fee is $17.00 by July 2 and $21.00 the day of the race.

Rodney T. Miller Youth Triathlon

Kids between the ages of 7 and 14 can begin training now to be part of the Rodney T. Miller Youth Triathlon on Saturday, July 4, 2009 in Fairview Park beginning at 9 a.m.. The Juniors Course (7-10 years old) will include a 100 meter swim, 2 mile bike and .8 mile run. The Seniors Course (11 – 14 years old) will include a 200 meter swim, 4 mile bike and 1.2 mile run. Family Sundays at Red Tail Run

Spend your Sundays at Red Tail Run Golf Club! Starting May 24, families can play 9 holes of golf with one cart after 2:30 p.m. for just $30 a foursome, $25 a threesome, or $20 a twosome. 2009 Scovill Zoo Open
