Grill Room and Banquet Facility Positions
The Decatur Park District is seeking energetic individuals to fill cook, counter, wait staff and dishwasher positions at Decatur Park District Golf Course grill rooms and banquet facilities. Applications may be picked up and returned to the Decatur Park District Administration Office at 620 E. Riverside Ave., Decatur, IL through April 30. EOE

Big Creek Riding Center Manager
The Decatur Park District seeks an energetic, entrepreneurial individual to manage Big Creek Riding Center. Situated on 110 acres on Decatur’s southeast side, Big Creek features horse boarding (50+stalls) and indoor/outdoor show facilities, as well as picturesque, wooded riding trails. Qualified applicants should have extensive experience and/or education in the equestrian field as well as a strong business background and excellent customer service skills. Lifeguards - Front Desk - Concession
If you're looking for a job at one of the Park District's family-friendly aquatic centers, visit the Decatur Indoor Sports Center, 1295 W. Wood, to pick up an application! Part-time positions are available at Fairview and Nelson Park pools in the following areas: lifeguards, front desk, and concession stand. Applicants must be able to work some evenings and weekends. Summer Recreation Positions
Part time positions are available for Summer 2008! The Park District is seeking qualified individuals to be Park Leaders, facility workers, lifeguards, and umpires. A vocal director/accompanist is also needed for the children's musical theatre program. Candidates must be patient, caring, and interested in working with children. Scovill Zoo - Seasonal Part-Time
Decatur Park District is looking for energetic individuals to work part time in the Gift Shop, Concession, and Animal Care area at Scovill Zoo. Ability to perform physical labor in all types of weather, good working history and a valid driver’s license are a must. Flexible hours. Apply at Scovill Zoo, 71 S. Seasonal Maintenance Position
Seasonal maintenance positions are now available at the Park District. Successful candidates will have experience in the operation of mowing equipment, tractors, janitorial services or landscaping. Scovill Zoo Animal Care Worker (weekends)
Do you enjoy working with animals? Scovill Zoo is seeking a part-time Animal Care Worker (weekends only). Successful candidates will be able to perform physical labor in all types of weather, have a good work history and a valid driver’s license. Must be 18 to apply. DISC-Fitness Internship
Fitness internships at the DISC will include orientations, scheduling, budget, payroll, retention, fitness, programs, health screenings, and health fairs. Interns are selected for fall and spring semesters only and are expected to work 10-12 hours per week for the entire semester (or hours predetermined by the university or college). DISC interns will receive free access to the facility and discounts to Park District amenities. Opportunities to attend various park board, staff, and other informative meetings will also be provided. Interns will have a chance to market and advertise programs, orient patrons to DISC amenities, and accomplish pre-determined goals and objectives. Facility Management Internship
The Facility Management Intern will design and accomplish a set of goals and objectives over the course of the semester. Interns are expected to work 10-12 hours per week for the entire semester (or hours predetermined by the university or college). Interns will market and advertise programs, coach, supervise, and/or direct programs, and orient DISC patrons to the various amenities of the facility. This position will also assist with staff supervision and daily facility operations. DISC shirts will be provided for uniform use, and khaki pants or shorts (at student's expense) are required.
