Decatur Park District Recreation Coined "Playtown U.S.A." in 1946 by the Athletic Institute, Decatur earned a national reputation for the Park District's excellent programs, staffing, and community partnerships. 60+ years later, the Decatur Park District continues to enhance the lives of our community's members, young and old. The Decatur Park District is also committed to active play and fun! In our parks and recreation complexes, you will find 58 ball diamonds, dozens of tennis and basketball courts, seven soccer fields and a family-friendly outdoor aquatic center. You'll also find a wide variety of programs for seniors at the DISC and Johns Hill Center. The Park District is proud of its service to individuals with disabilities with its extensive special recreation programming.
