Special Needs Choir<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Heart & Soul Choir in its 4th season with the Decatur Park District. The choir provides a place where people with special needs are able to express themselves through the musical art of singing. Heart & Soul is an apt name for the group because they sing with all their Heart. They involve themselves totally in the activity. When music is expressed in an honest and genuine manner it speaks to the soul. Heart and Soul has performed at Trees on the Tees, PURPLE UP DAY and as special guests at the Greater Decatur Chorale\u2019s concerts in the past. Caregivers are required to attend rehearsals and participants must be 18 years of age or older and able to be engaged in a 60\u201390-minute rehearsal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Celebrating its 40th season, the Greater Decatur Chorale is comprised of 70+ adults who enjoy singing and sharing their talents with the community. The group, directed by Ted Hesse and accompanied by Anita Gifford, performs throughout the area, including the a winter and spring concert. To join this spectacular ensemble, see audition info below.
