A Letter From the Decatur Parks Foundation Director, Aly Delatte!
Happy 100th Anniversary Decatur Park District! Our community is a better place because of the Decatur Park District and the Decatur Parks Foundation is excited to be celebrating this milestone year with the Park District. For the last 40 years the Foundation has been supporting the initiatives of the Decatur Park District projects and facilities with enthusiasm and this year was no different! To celebrate the impact the Park District has had for the last 100 years, the Foundation has expanded it’s support by investing more in Cultural Arts programming, DISC Day Camp, Aquatic Safety and Swim lessons, Senior Recreation, Scholarships, greenspace and Scovill Zoo. The Foundation’s success is because of the generosity of our Decatur Parks Foundation benefactors.
As the year continues I challenge everyone to find a way to make their own impact by donating to the Parks Foundations to honor and celebrate the Park District. Donate today to watch your gift grow the Decatur Parks Foundation and together we can continue to make a better Decatur and Decatur Park District for the next 100 years.
