About Us

The mission of MidState Soccer Club is to provide the highest caliber coaching and training so that the soccer players’ achievements are limited only by their own drive and efforts to excel. The club promotes good sportsmanship, integrity, and the idea that a team is more than the sum of its individual parts. MidState Soccer Club is committed to competing on the field at the highest levels in the state, region, and nation. We strive to help our players reach the next level in soccer and in life.


Player Code of Conduct

Every player is expected to:
1.Know and respect the rules of soccer and abide by them at all times, including rules and regulations of the respective League.
2.Show respect and courtesy to coaches, spectators, and opponents at all times.
3.Respect the referee(s) and refrain from addressing them or commenting on their decisions during or after the game.
4.Maintain control of emotions, avoid the use of abusive or profane language, taunting or humiliating remarks, and/or gestures and physical assault upon another player at any time.
5.Display sportsmanship at all times. At the conclusion of a game, be humble and generous in victory and proud and courteous in defeat.
6.Remember that soccer is a game, and treat players and coaches on other teams as opponents, not enemies.
7.Demonstrate a willingness to make every effort to attend all team functions, including practices, games, and tournaments.
8.Demonstrate open communication with coaches and team members when scheduling conflicts should arise.
9.Treat all fields, equipment, and Midstate jerseys with care. This includes never swinging on the goals.
10.Promote self respect in players by insuring shirts are tucked in and boots/cleats are clean for all games.
11.Arrive at practice and games in a timely manner. If there is a conflict that will prevent such, please contact the coach beforehand.
12.Bring equipment such as ball, shin guards, and water to all practices and games, listen to coaches, and be prepared to work hard.
Players who are unable to follow the expectations described above and the adopted Midstate Code of Conduct will be disciplined in accordance with said Code of Conduct.

Parent & Spectator Code of Conduct

The parents’ role is one of support to the players and coaches. Parents should not engage in “coaching” from the sidelines; criticizing players, coaches or game officials; or trying to influence the makeup of the team at any time.
Every parent is expected to:
1.Learn and respect the rules of soccer and the rules of the League.
2.Show respect and courtesy to game officials, coaches, and players at all times.
3.Respect the game officials and refrain from questioning their decisions or from addressing them in a loud, disrespectful, or abusive manner.
4.Cheer for your child’s team in a positive manner, refraining at all times from making negative or abusive remarks about the opposing team. Maintain control of your emotions and avoid actions, language, and/or gestures that may be interpreted as hostile and humiliating.
5.Demonstrate appropriate gestures of sportsmanship at the conclusion of a game, win or lose.
6.Teach and practice good sportsmanship and fair play by personally demonstrating commitment to these virtues.
7.Promote the concept that soccer is a game, and that players and coaches on other teams are opponents, not enemies.
8.Show a willingness to make every effort to have your child attend team functions, including practices, games, and tournaments. Demonstrate open communication to all coaches and applicable team members when scheduling conflicts should arise.
Parents who are unable to follow the expectations described above and the adopted Midstate Soccer Club Code of Conduct will be disciplined in accordance with said Code of Conduct. Note: disciplinary action may take the form of your child not being permitted to play as a result of your actions.
