Coined “Playtown U.S.A.” in 1946 by the Athletics Institute, Decatur has earned a national reputation for the Park District’s excellent programs, facilities, events, staffing, and community partnerships. 70+ years later, the Decatur Park District continues to enhance the lives of all in the greater-Decatur area.

With hundreds of classes, camps, leagues, and activities, we can help you stay active and have fun! Try our team sports like baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse and cheerleading or individual sports such as golf, tumbling, tennis, swimming and track and field. The Park District also offers plenty of camps and clinics to get involved in year-round!
